Jersey No.: #3
Years of Playing Experience: 5 years
Village: Chalan Kiya

Q: How did you become interested in football?

A:
My mom encouraged me to play. I realized right a way how fun the sport is!

Q: Why do you like to play football?

A:
I play as a way to express myself.

Q: What is/are your greatest football achievement(s)?

A:
I made it to the CNMI U14 Girls National Team.

Q: What other message can you share with the football community?

A:
I want to thank everyone who volunteers for NMIFA. I also want to urge everyone involved with NMIFA to work together and be nice to each other no matter what club you play for. We are, after all, a football family.

“Guin is a dedicated player who takes time to work on improving her skills. Guin is very young but shows a lot of maturity and determination as a player. She plays hard until the end of the game, no matter what the score is. Although she is younger than her teammates on the U15 team, she is not intimidated by older players. Guin started playing soccer as a U6 player and it's nice see that she still loves the game and still has a passion for the sport.”-Guinevere's coach, Connie Camacho

U15 Girls best previously undefeated MPU!

10/11/2012

The Connie Camacho coached U15 Girls team had their best result of the Fall 2012 season this past Saturday. MPU and Paire both played hard, but when the final whistle was blown, the score was 3-0 in favor of Paire FC. MPU had a few great shots on goal, but Paire Goalie, Narlyn Seich, was able to stop all efforts of MPU to score. All of Paire's goals came courtesy of youngster Guin Borja with assists by Kayleen Salle. Prior to this match, MPU was undefeated this season.  Coach Connie states, "The girls continue to improve as a result of practicing."

Paire's Colin Fruit is NMIFA Youth Player of the Week

In todays's Saipan Tribune - Paire's U18 Colin Fruit is featured as the NMIFA Youth Player of the Week.  There is a nice quote from Coach Steve KcKagan: “I have been lucky enough to coach Colin for 4 years now at the U18 level. His constant level of effort and dedication to the game have made him one of the most observant and tactical players I have ever coached. His cool nerves have really helped with the leadership on the team and he has a solid finish on penalties. These attributes have also made Colin one of the best referees on island and have earned him trips to train for refereeing at the highest level as a representative of NMIFA. These qualities also lead Paire FC to name Colin on as our director of referees this year and he sets our youth referee schedules and managse all correspondence and problem solving for us week to week. Colin was also the first youth player to take an active role as referee in higher division games, which he found out pays pretty well. I credit his success for the large youth movement we now see with our young referees. We will be losing Colin to college this winter and though Paire FC will miss his contributions as a player and as a referee greatly, we wish him all the best and know that he will continue his love of the beautiful game.”
